Re: The Ground Station Thread

My manual tracking control; It's simply a servo driver attached to a 20' 3 conductor that runs from my seating location to the ground station.

Here it is Velcro'd to the "Pilots Seat"

The compass attached to the top helps me orient my tracker to the OSD "north"

Adjusting the heading is intuitive; I can even do it with goggles on. The servo driver has a natural center position, which corresponds to the bi-quad facing straight ahead. From there, full pan left/right are just a matter of dialing in the servo driver to the end stops.
At range, you can even "see" the image quality improve as you dial in the correct pan angle.

The limitations right now is the servo travel and the throw I can get out of my pivot.

I already have a 720 degree tracker set up; just need to find the time to swap out my existing pan system to the new one.
