I would like to be there when you bungee launch the first one - it could be exciting sling-shotting a 5 pound plane into the air

As oilman (and ken) mentioned, the CF-100 is my baby and I too will be posting pictures as I build the first near-production version over the next couple weeks.

I'm currently finishing off prototype #2 and hope to have it in the air next week if I can. It won't be as pretty as the first one since it will only serve to test some new (lighter) design concepts. #3 will be a much nicer plane I hope.

Here are the basic specs:

Weight: 85oz's (2400g)
Length: 51"
Wing span: 48"
Wing area: 480"sq
Fans: 2 Wemotec Mini-480 fans
Motor: Mega 16/15/2 2-turn brushless motors drawing ~43A at full throttle
Power: Total output power ~750W
Batteries: 4 Kokam 2000mah 15C 3s batteries

Options:
- SpringAir 600 series retracts
- Full cockpit

By the calculations it should fly. With ~140W/pound it should be able to move at a pretty good clip.
