Apparently at 70-75% (which is the ideal governor setting, by the way) the head speed is 2200 rpm with a 13 tooth pinion on the 1912 1y. Something you're forgetting is that the neu "ork" series seems to be happiest between 26,000 and 30,000 rpm. Plus the advantage of the deeper gearing.
The 1915 may have more power, but I don't think you'll notice it in this application. The v-bar and the 6003d's other design features really make it ballistic on less power.
The 1915 is more of a 12s motor, that'd be an excellent option for you if you haven't bought anything yet, 12s 3700's. I'd have gone this way but I can't bring myself to buy another castle esc, I've had four and none have worked properly.
