I had the same problem... DX9 seemed stuck.. or bricked.. replaced the SD card and booted to the new one with a software update and BANG!! back in the sky..
seriously not a big deal.. and it only happens if your updating from the crap card.. Just get rid of the included SD card and you will be just fine..
