I can't remember for sure, but I believe there were 2 C17's built in the UK, one was bigger than the other, but one might have been a C5 Galaxy. Sorry for not being sure. Anyway, I think one of the crashed, but Ali Machinchy now owns a C17, and yes it's still flying, it was offered for sale at one point on RCU. I think it is still for sale through Al's Hobbies in the UK. I also believe the project began in 2002 or 2003 though again I am not totally sure. It is still flying though, it was flown at a UK event only a few weeks ago I believe.
