While breaking in my new Enya 155R I was experiencing detonation in the low to mid range of the power curve. After I RTFM'd I found out that the No.3 Enya plug supplied with the engine was only good for FAI or 5% Nitro as it is a hot plug. I was runing 10% Nitro and after switching to a cooler runing plug, Enya #4, the problem went away.
You may have to cut some more of the bottom out of that cowl. But go easy at it.. a little bit at a time.
