If you want to read the entire history of North American modeling (going back to the rubber FF days in the 20's and 30's) up to the present day RC stuff (OK, up to the 80's when the book was written) I have the book "Do You Speak Model Airplane" - the best history book written IMO on the hobby. Covers ALL the big names and companies, designers, etc that made the hobby in the early years.

A great read... too bad its out of print but I could lend you my copy - if its for your project?
