All I can attribute it too is efficiency in the prop, however when it gets hot and humidity climbs here and our density altitude is 6000+ ft. then performance suffers big time. RPM doesn't really ever change that much, maybe 100-200 from here to sea level, but less performance = more time on the throttle = more mAh usage from the packs....so more heat and more chance of damaging cells.

I dont think I would recommend getting a 40% electric unless you have way too much money or someone else is paying for it. Ya you dont have vibration, but you smoke a single component and you are out a ton of cash with usually no way to repair it.

There is a lot more work in getting an electric setup working properly then a glow or gas, prop selection is far more critical and usually needs to change with varying conditions to get the optimal performance out of the setup.
