I don't see much use for this. Once the initial amusement wears off, what can you do with it that will maintain interest? Its not as efficient as a quadcopter if you want to lif payload like camera's to make videos.

If you just want to hover around, there is this gadget:

It probably flies longer than a DF unit. and has the benefit of transitioning to forward flight for some mean aerobatics

Max, thank you for the input. I agree and don't agree...

I agree that this machine is not for everyone... It is pushing the limits of what can be done with everyday R/C equipment and you gotta know what you are doing to calibrate and operate it.

I don't agree that it is all about efficiency and flight time. If it was so we would all be flying gliders...

Every machine has pros and cons...

thanks again for taking the time to look at it...

Rccanuck, thank you for taking the time to take a look. I have a lot if ideas but, to be honest, I decided that they dont matter too much as opposed to what everyone else thinks.

Me building mono-phan was instinctive rather than planned.

I'd appreciate if I could get honest feedback...

Re: 3d thrust control module amazing stabilization and flight

JoeT thank you for the input. I need to make a point here.

When I published Monophan, the general tendency is to compare it to every kind of devices that have a duct around its prop.

However, because of the type of the fan that I am using here, Monophan corresponds in the real world, to a device with a turbofan jet engine, or a similar fan that produces a very high velocity narrow beam of air for thrust.

Controlling a larger propeller that pushes a wider diameter of air is easier to control and stabilize but I didn't go the easy way on this one...

Thanks again...
