Other planes that you might find durable enough for combat, and also forgiving and well responding are as follows:

With the first few aircraft on my list, there are a few common things that you will find among them. All of which in my experience make the planes stronger than coroplast construction.

Solid foam core wings from Styrofoam brand High Load 40 "blue foam" (this is the foam that the use to frame up concrete forms, and provide solid concrete forming surfaces) reinforced with 1/8" dia (approx 2 mm) fiberglass rods laid in groves melted into the wing cores with a soldering iron, then tied together with plastic zip ties at approx 10" o.c. (25 cm). These creat the "spar" of the wing. The leading edges of these wings are usually 3/16" fiberglass rods, or 1/4" high density polyethelene rods. The whole wing is then wrapped with ripstop nylon or bi-directional ("extreme application") packaging tape that you can find at your office supply.

The fuselages vary in design, though all are extremely strong. Some of the planes use High density polyethelene (commercial cutting board material) cut out to form the fuselage, or black plastic whiffle ball bats cut down to length to form the fuselage.

All have 4 mm coroplast tales.

All of the above designs are stable, well responding and highly manuverable. I think if you tried one of these designs, you would be extremely happy with the flight and durability.
