I am not sure if I did something wrong or what but that module only lasted two seasons. It was mounted really well in foam to isolate the vibration, it is still clean, no fuel, water or oil residue. The spark plug ground wire was secured in a way that it couldn't touch a motor mount or anything metal.............
I am at a loss..........
My friend in town also lost one last year but he just ordered a new one and never talked to DA...........
This is as much a question as a solution but at the same time as one wants to insulate the unit from vibration, the module case should have adequate airflow or exposure to air volume to keep the EI unit cool as possible :

3 am, wow man I 'm not awake enough at that time of the morning to see........ let alone know if my thing is hot........... .

It was mounted right on the firewall just above the engine, lots of airflow but come to think about it it was wrapped in foam, not totally just around the width of the module. Okanagan summers get pretty hot but I would think that flying in the desert would be just as warm............

I should be able to find 5 minutes tomorrow to call DA and ask them what they think or what to do with it..........

I will keep you all posted as to their reply as it seems that there is alot of interest........
