I have read that the OS32 with recoil do not have as much power as the regular OS32. I have never used one, but that is what I read on othere forums.

Hi Sean,
If I remember correctly, to install a recoil starter on an engine, you're looking at a new crank also. Most of these recoil units connect to the crank via a pin, which causes the recoil unit to rob the engine of some power.
Not exactly sure how the OS32 unit works, but I think that's how the majority of them work.

I've got two of them......a new one and an old.....no complaints here..... after all it's just a .32...........
convenience far out ways any said power problems ,but I can't relate there....
**
most starter systems on a Heli are more than suitable....especially if it's a newer bird... pulls are good for a Shuttle Z or the like.......typically introduced to replace the belts.......a good hex system with bearing kicks............

buy new don't convert or anything.....Jason is right, new crank with the pin....etc etc........
