Well, the season has come to a close and I wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS SEASON A SUCCESS!!! Without the racers we would not have a series and you guys came out in force this year to make the 2008 GLORCS season a success. I would also like to thank the track owners for their co operation and hard work in putting together race facilities that were a pleasure to run at. I had a conversation with a racer at Action Hobbies who commented on how the facilities are continuing to improve and evolve which makes racing better for everyone.

I also would like to take this time to thank my fellow Series Directors for their hard work and the reps who took time to help out track side. The Rep Program was a big success this year and we have already had people approach us who want to get involved for next season. Having more people involved makes lighter work for us all and in the long run will make everyone’s life easier.

In 2008 we tried to take steps to fine tune the series and tried to listen to what the racers were saying. We instituted the first GLORCS survey to get input on the series and got a very positive response. We will be repeating this in 2009 in a more in depth format. We would like to congratulate Abiye Birku who was the winner of the draw for people who put in surveys; He was the winner of product provided to us by XXX Main, Advanced Hobby and Proline.

We have already begun to plan for 2009 and have some things in store that will make GLORCS even better. We have already been approached by new sponsors and are hoping to see the return of our sponsors from this season. Their generous support has made it easier to provide material, prizes and promotional aids for the series. I would like to thank all our sponsors from this year;

XXX MAIN
SPECTRUM HOBBY
PANTHER VISION
K&D ACTION PHOTO
ADVANCED HOBBY
ULTIMATE RACING
THE ZOOM ROOM
SPRUCEWOOD LEASING
FULL THROTTLE HOBBIES
RCTV
TRAXXAS

We are already working diligently on the 2009 season and have much work to do in the next 6 weeks. We will have more information for you on some of the things you can expect that will be new and exciting for next year. In the mean time you are welcome to go to www.----------- and click on the email subscription link on the left side of the page. You will be added to our mailing list, we will be mailing all info about next season to our mailing list first so be in the know and sign up now. There will be more information on class changes, special additions to next year’s program along with more detailed information on the general meeting in our next news letter.

At Glenwood this year we had our annual general meeting and elected to go, again, with a 7 date schedule for next year. We are pleased to announce next years schedule as follows;

GLORCS RACE 1 - MAY 29 - 31, 2009

GLORCS RACE 2 - JUNE 19 - 21, 2009

GLORCS RACE 3 - JULY 10 -12, 2009

GLORCS RACE 4 - JULY 31 - AUGUST 2, 2009

GLORCS RACE 5 - AUGUST 21 - 23, 2009

GLORCS RACE 6 - SEPTEMBER 11 - 13, 2009

GLORCS RACE 7 - SEPTEMBER 25 - 27, 2009 (FINAL)

We will be releasing the details of which tracks have what dates early in the New Year. This will allow you to have the race schedule now and give us a chance to take a breath and get everything in order so there are no changes once the final schedule has been released. After consultig with the track owners we spread the season’s dates out more and allowed three weeks between all races but the final.

Stay tuned to www.----------- and your local forum for more information on next season. Again thank you for your support and we would like to wish everyone the best of luck through the winter.

See Ya Track Side
