Balance my Yak 54 but...

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
Hi , I balanced my new Seagle Yak 54 with Zen 20 cc as they say in the manual , but at my first flight yesterday it drop a lot and I had to trim my elevator for about 3/16'' to have a straight flight. So my elevator is not straight flush now. Is it normal or should I move back my Rx batterie for 5 inches exemple...? Note: To balance it well , I had to put both batteries(Rx and ignition in front) . To land , it was perfect , so I'm not sure if I should toutch something ...? Thanks ! Paul

What happens when you roll inverted?
Do you have to push a lot on the stick to hold level flight?

When you are trimmed for level flight and then cut the throttle, does the nose drop excessively?

Sounds pretty good!

It may be a wing incidence issue.
If you are concerned about how it flys, you will need to check the wing and stab incidence, and the engine thrust.
Changing any of these could open a can of worms, so if you are happy with the way it flys, it may be best to ignore the 3/16 elevator.
Fly it for a while and see how it feels.
