I'm in Abbotsford BC, planning a multicopter purchase and want to know if there are others flying multi's or even FPV in my area.

I'm a hands on visual learner and want to get out on a field with a person older than my 5 year old son.

I dont have alot of free time with work taking up most of it over summer but I have owned a couple of pre-built Quads in the past and can show you the basics of flying one when yours is all set up and ready to go.

I have no experience with FPV thus far but i would suggest learning how fly first in case you dont already know how .One bit of advice is to get yourself a decent "user friendly" FC with good support.

In return I offer my indoor flying space when you have time to fly again but the whether turns to mush. I plan to fly all year round!

Hi,

Another Abby guy just getting into quads. I had previously been flying a tri with a KK board and while it was fun I always had trouble with the tail/servo mechanism. I lost orientation while flying the tri recently and crashed bad with lots of damage... tri shelved for now

Meanwhile, I bought a Crius Multiwii Lite board and a clone F450 frame to give quads a try. Frame should be here in a few days so I will be flight testing in the next couple of weeks. I would love to get together with some local multi flyers in the near future so I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Where do you guys fly?

I fly my little park flyer over at Bakerview Elementary on Marshal Road. I also have my own gym, (well, I call it mine but I have to share) at Bakerview MB church on Clearbrook road. I have a heli that I'm working on/learning to fly and do hovers and stuff like that in there. I can also fly my plane in the gym.

I'd love to come out with you while you are building, tweeking or flying maiden on the quad. I'm also a photog so if you want nice shots, let me know!

I am just getting into the multi rotor part also. Waiting for the new Fat Shark googles to come out to try FPV.

I fly with a club in Aldergrove, PropNuts.

When you learn, maybe you can teach me.

There is a club in Aldergrove? Can you post some details? My parents are on 276th and we're there often as a family. I could combine it...drop the kids off and go fly.
