Thanks Jeff! The West was tryin' to dump me off to the EM, looks like I'm still in the Cartel. I'd much prefer to be like Switzerland!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Speaking all things engine I guess I would get the vote for biggest DA fanboy. The only one I don't have is the 70.

So how about what are the pros and cons of each brand?

DA engines

Pro:
Shiny oooooohhhhhhh so shiny.
Good performance
Easy tuning
User friendly
Excellent support
Excellent warranty
Excellent aftermarket support (headers etc)
Reliable
Light weight
Carbs have factory installed RC use arms
The standard that others are judged against
Parts pricing is actually rather good.
Long life

Con:
Slightly costly but you get what you pay for
Shiny ooooooohhhhh so shiny (don't want to put the cowl on)
Not always the most powerful or the smoothest but have you noticed how everyone compares their engine to a DA as to power and smoothness?

John, unless the V Bulletin program has changed a lot, I doubt a chat room will happen. I was a moderator on a site about 3 years ago, it only took 3 days of the room being open, and the whole site went down due to hackers!

Took over a month to repair the stuff the hacker messed with.

I would have to agree, but I've only been flying a DA50 and DA60.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I guess that could be an issue.
The RCC guys have seemed to have their hands full lately with that kind of stuff.
It was more from the prospective that a couple thread seem to be "chat like".
Is there a need?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

There used to be a chat room on RCC....generally not widely used.

I think this is better. We can change pics, sigs and avatars as needed for the discussion!
