CX2 - Forward flight

I have started flying my CX2. Great little starter chopper.

One thing I have noticed. When I transition to forward flight, the speed forward is quite slow. The only time I can get some speed up is to increase the throttle, causing it to climb and then full forward. Problem is, it is climbing as it is picking up speed. Then you have to back off the throttle or hit the roof which is not a pretty site.

Any quick fixes to increase the forward momentum while at a slower rpm?

Thanks

As I understand it with the small coax helicopters, they're so inherently stable that fast forward flight really isn't their thing as they constantly try to self-right. Seems like guys that try to push it too quickly forward end up with the blades colliding in flight.

Of course, I don't own one personally so I can't say for sure, maybe someone else will chime in .

I've not seen many people fly coaxial helis very fast in forward flight - as mentioned, when control deflections become extreme blade collisions happen.

Another way to get more forward flight is to move the servo links out 1 or 2 holes. It will give you more throw, But as already stated be careful and ease into it to reduce blade clash.
Hope that helps I have done it with mine and it made a world of difference.

Maybe if you've mastered all the basics it's time to move onto something more advanced so you can continue learning.

The Honeybee King is an excellent intermediate heli for the money - it's what I'm currently flying right now, and I'm quite pleased.
