Apparently "so called" Great Hobbies are taking over and moving at least part of their business into the Hiflight location. Pity

Re: HiFight Anniversary Celebration sale

Talk is, keeping one location for the store and one location for shipping. Doesn't make sense to pay two rents. Probably they're moving the works to the Hiflight location. Lower Rent. Sad thing is, we've lost a really good hobby shop. Hobby Wholesale is now the only game in town. They are exceptional. I will not shop at GH.
This is not a rumour.

Re: HiFight Anniversary Celebration sale

With the experiences I have had with Great Hobbies I would prefer not to shop there. It drives me crazing waiting on items to ship, that are on backorder, that are marked as in stock on their website. If I would have known they didn't have the items in stock, I would have tried a different vendor. Flying season is too short to be grounded by back ordered items.

I have been buying my planes from Hiflight, and servoes etc from Tbolt, Azure, and Paragon. What other Vendors are recommended for sourcing larger gas planes?

Re: HiFight Anniversary Celebration sale

Yeah, good prices, but no inventory - I just called to check on my order, turns out everything I ordered and the site said was in stock wasn't, so I get nothing . I knew it was too good to be true. best to ensure the stuff you're ordering is in stock.

Re: HiFight Anniversary Celebration sale

GH buying HiFlite? Makes sense from GH's point of view -- get rid of the competition that is too close.

Great Hobbies are now shipping a number of the Airplanes from a warehouse in Alberta. Check out Great Hobbies home page.
