How to get more punch out of batteries and revive them?

i have a couple gp 3300 matched packs. 2 are older (about 1 year) and 1 is brand new.
They all have good specs.
the 2 older ones are loosing their punch and you can tell which one is new and old by running them.
What are some things i can do to help revive the 2 older packs and give them great punch. Iv tried cycling them on my charger (duratrax ICE).

im out of ideas

thanks
adam

I'm not the expert..but here goes what I think...maybe this will spark a correction and get you an answer better than mine

Your batteries are using chemicals which will break down with use and time. I don't 'think' "Reviving" them is possible beyond a fresh recharge.

Reviving cells? Depends on how much damage is done. But clearly the newer cells and new batches of cells will have more punch, naturally. Theres a couple things you can try; 1 dead shorting the cells (discharging to nil then putting wires across + and - of EACH CELL and NOT the PACK). Other method is zapping the cells.

Realistically, play with them a little. If it don't work, buy new packs. New batts, if you know where to get them are ALWAYS good!

Question 3300 gps??

DO NOT FLEX CHARGE NICADS!! ok what you do is put them on a discharge tray to square them up (kill the pack)....then put a wire in between the positive and negative when the discharge is done let them sit like that for awhile...try and cycle the pack a few times and it should help with your punch but you may loose some run time......if the pack is really bad i throw it off the table (not enough to damage) but enough to give it a shake up inside (shakes the plates up ) but dont do it if the battery comes back with the other method above...you should only dead short gp cells any other cells will have a negative affect and you may ruin them....http://www.canadarc.net/forum/viewfo...0b3fd04c46btry this link hope it helps...
