i believe alot of it is the price of them you have to like bashing... cause there's no tracks to run them at they too big and bulky to run on a normal 1/8 track and they tend to tear up the track as well the only thing i envy about them...is the fact that they run a long time on one tank of fuel and use only 1 plug a season |

big cars
too bad we dont have the trails for the big cars. they are more realistic and cheaper to run. why not build the tracks for big cars. Is there enough guys here to organize big car races. the bajas are not too expensive now.

I'm only running my Baja and the nitro stuff is sitting on the shelf collecting dust. But I believe there's more people running LS then you think. We're kind of like a cult, I think.
IMHO, I don't see what all the fuss about not enough space to run the LS. Unless you live downtown Toronto then yes I can see there may be some challenges. But otherwise I think it's nonsense... I read post on how people will drive 1-2 hours to a local track but it seem no one wants to drive to a park of any kind and then there is the beaches any beach and it's off season now (no beachcombers at this time of year). I've been going to a BIG AZZ park at McCowan and Eglinton and down to Bluffers park's east side beach all summer long and been having a blast... sand, water, scoccer park that has more space then my Spektrum can handle. I even drive up and down my street and can go WOT and full speed. So if one is will to travel more than 1/2 hour to a track then one should have no problem finding a school yard, park, public beach etc, etc to run there LS rc. As for cost... 100% RTR including 2 litres of gas was $1300 at the time for me but I believe the Baja can be had cheaper now with our stronger dollar. The only up grade I've done is a 27cc motor and a HPI tuned pipe. You may say $1300 ... but when I add up every little up grade I've done to my Revo or Hyper 7 or T-Maxx or TC4 or NTC3 they have all been in the $1000 plus range easily. If I was to only choose 1 rc to have... that would be a LS and in my case it's my Baja as I have not own a FG. So the comments on not enough space to run a LS... I say to that. When deciding on getting a LS know why you want one and just get one. My 2 cents. |

When did racing become a topic??? Space and where to run a LS and cost was some of the issues from what I read and I countered from my experience from owning both. ...And handles like a motorhome... where did that one come from?? Now that's apples to oranges. Next time compare a FG LS to a HPI LS or Traxxas MT to a HPI MT or a AE Buggy to a Losi Buggy or a AE NTC3 to a HPI RS4 etc, etc.... Huh, comparing handling characteristics between a 1/5 and a 1/8 or 1/10 scale... Power... maybe, maybe not but that's for another theard... but power means nothing if the engine doesn't stay running and we ALL now how sensitive nitro engine can be. As for my Baja... hasn't stalled once even when it's flipped and on it's back at the other end of a scoccer field from a crash. |

which is why my point was... that there so much more to do with the smaller scales(ex.race,bash,ect.) for alot less money plus you won't get a hernia trying to carry the smaller cars either $1300 for an rtr where do you shop |
