E-Flite floats problems
Just thought I would pass along something I found out about the E-Flite floats that fit the E-Flite Cub, Ultra Stick 25E and Beaver. The early production floats came with little or no weight molded into the nose of the floats. The 'new' versions come with 60 grams of lead weight in each float which makes balancing the Ultra Stick a non issue....otherwise you end up adding some ugly stick-on weights to the early model floats. Also the the supplied rudder cable only fits the the Cub and NOT the Ultra Stick. You have to purchase a longer one for the Ultra Stick 25E. The mounting holes for the cable tie down on the ruddder float are drilled on the wrong side for the Ultra Stick. Hope this helps those who are thinking of using the E-flite floats.
There is no way to tell which floats are the newer versions other than weighing them. The new ones weigh approx. 290 grams ea. Rod

Re: E-Flite floats problems
Scaled down the Goldberg floats to 85% as I thought that the Eflite floats a little too short for scale. Don't have a finished weight on them though but should cone in pretty close to the Eflite ones.
