SYSSA 180
Mejzlik 18/6.........9400 Vess 18/6s...........8400 JC Super 18/6.......8400 JC Super 18/8.......7200 JC Super 20/6.......6700 The only two flown to date were the Mej, 18/6 and the Vess 18/6. The engine loved the Mej. over the Vess. Tested a Mej. 20/6 on a DLE 30 and loved it. I think you'd see great performance with it on the Syssa as well. (I broke it ) or I would have tested it. |

I Only have the Vess with me. I'll have to stop at home and p/u the XOARs before I head to the field. Luckily it's in the same direction. But I have to head over to HobbyHobby first and get some Nicads for my wife. She hase some patio lanterns that recharge during the day with little solar pannels and the batteries are fried. Have to keep the peace especially since I busted her favourite water fountain last fall putting it away for the winter. Still in the dog house on that one. Freeking thing costs as much as an EF 78" Extra. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem DAly

Re: Engine Testing Thread
DA 120-MTW 75 Canisters
The DA 120 has 4 flights on it and some test time, so say 1 hour maximum run time. It is running very well but may not be to optimum yet. Perhaps with more time on it we could see 150 more rpm than what I saw today. ASL....2450 feet Temp..18C Biela...26/10/3..................5910 Prince P-Tip ..26/11/2.......6540 Mejzlik...27/10/2...............6550 Mejzlik...27/12/2TH..........6499 Mejzlik....29/12/2..............5715 Mejzlik....29/10/2..............5950 Biela.......28/10.................6050 Fuchs......28/10.................6650 The thrust from the 29/12 was absolutely amazing. It seemed to like all the 26 and 27” props but it seemed to me that the Prince P-Tip was a perfect match. Sooooooo I left the Prince on the plane...Will fly it and see how the performance is. Re: Engine Testing Thread
SYSSA 180 (30cc)
TEMP: 28c ALT: 660 ASL Standard SYSSA muffler with noise reduction inserts VESS 18x5.5 wood prop Idle : 1440 rpm Full: 8400 rpm The engine was difficult to start but I think was just a little dry. After 3 or 4 starts it was restarting on first flip. I did run a rough sound check but I don't think I had the distance correct. I got 104db at one point but engine was pulsing at high speed. Once I corrected that it was to dark to get accurte reading. I could not check my XOAR as I had not drilled it out yet. 16 June 2011 I ran the XOAR last night. Didn't record Temp or Humidity Altitude same as VESS run XOAR 18x8 = 7320 rpm

Re: Engine Testing Thread
DLE 30 after about 3 gallons.
This one was run for a gallon on Dino oil at 32:1 then switched to Redline at 32:1 for the remaining 2 gallons. It has many many flights on it. Muffler is a J-Tec wrap around pitts Temperature 18 degrees Humidity 36% Pressure about 102 kPa Xoar 20 x 6 = 7530 rpm Xoar 19A-3D = 7320 Falcon 19 x 8 = 7530 Mej carbon 19 x 8 = 7620 Never pay again for live sex! | Hot girls doing naughty stuff for free! | Chat for free!

Re: Engine Testing Thread
Da 100 L on Cannisters. Unknown manufacturer.
Fuel mix is with Redline at 50:1 Temperature 18 degrees Humidity 36% Pressure about 102 kPa Xoar 28 x 10 wood = 5820 Xoar 28B - 3D wood = 5850 Falcon Carbon 28 x 9.5 = 6300 Xoar Carbon 28 x 10 = first run 6840 I actually ran this prop first before the others, the falcon last. I thought maybe the tach had malfunctioned Then I put the Xoar back on for another go. Making it run # 5 in the test sequence. On the props second test it turned 6790. It wasn't a fluke or a mistake. It was also a noticable increase in rpm just by listening. I took a small video with my phone on the 5th run when the motor was turning the prop at 6790. Insane throttle response ans spool up. The prop is scary light.
