so... i'm back from tour in afghanistan and i've got some time off to build.
(i can't believe how long it took me to figure out my password for rccanada!)

i'm looking for info on the electric mosquito i seen in a magazine a few years back, Model Airplane News i think. it was a scratch build. has any one built it? info on a similar kit would be nice also.

im also kitting out a 1/3 scale pitts, and i'm curious what kind of torque specs should i be looking for in the servos?

thanks
morgan

Hey salty,

Welcome back to normality?

I bet you are still finding sand in places you never expected.

As for the servos.. for the money I would use Hitec HS5955s.

You going electric with the Pitts as well?

Mosquito

Welcome back Salty,

I think the Mosquito you are referring to was a free plan in RCM&E. I might have a copy around somewhere. If I remember, it was for twin 400's. Does that sound right?

On my RCGroups Mosquito scratch build thread, someone posted a link to what I think is a short kit of the Mossie you're thinking about.

Here's my Thread:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=440058

And if you check post 15 in the thread, you'll notice a link to a short kit of a 43" mossie.

Post 55 has a couple pictures of the wing of said mosquito being built.

Alas, this is about as much information as I can help you with. (Unless you're interested in some 72" Brian Taylor Mosquito plans )

I lied.

A quick search for "Rittinger Mosquito" on RCGroups yields this:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80516

This should be the info you need on the Mosquito you linked to.
