Hi Jeremy

The JPM kit is more expensive than the BVM one! And I'm not saying this because I'm a BVM dealer!

Youngguy

You may want to look around for some older BVM kits, unbuilt. There are a few out there, you just have to find them.

Bruce, ha I didn't know that was you!

Following up Ed's comments; you might want to look for an unbuilt BVM kit but the conversion isn't trivial. A friend was down at Florida Jets and had the chance to speak with Bob about modifying his older DF T-33 kit to a turbine equivalent. unfortunately the end result came close to the cost of another new kit, which Bob recommended in the end... I’m not sure how many variants of the kit exist, but this one’s on the older side. This is 2nd hand info, so you’ll want to research all the mods thoroughly if you need to make that decision.

Thanks for the advice folks. Jerry Sylvestre is converting his BVM T-33 to a turbine and it has cost him a bundle. So your comments are correct Kelly. I have looked at the JMP T-33 and really like what I see.
We will see what I can scrounge up in the future. For now I think I will concentrate on learning to fly my DV8R well.

Ed,
If you re-read my post, I did make mention that the JMP kit is much more expensive, it's also a way bigger bird, and a WAY higher quality kit. Not to knock BVM, but they aren't in the same class as JMP. If BVM is the Ferrari if the jet world, JMP is truly the Mercedes/McLaren crossed with Bugati, crossed with Rolls Royce.
Of all the kits I have seen in this industry, nothing compares. JMP is top of the line, but, as the old adage says, you get what you pay for

Winamac

HI all, just tonight I finally got everything unpacked and put away. I had a great time at Winamac last week ,even though Wednesday was a right off ,the wind was bad and the only ones that where brave enough to fly where the guys from Quebec .
It"s always good to get away from work and melo with friends.
This year I brought my trusty Bobcat. my BVM P80 and my Kingcat which won best finish for a sport jet.
Their where 8 Canadains their this year which seemed to make us stand out, I heard someone say, "yeh all the canadians are here"
The jet that I thought stood out this year was the New Composite ARF, Lightning, it was big, it flew like it was on rails and looked like it had no bad habits.
I am sure Jim Brown will post some great pictures.
Rcpete
PS, I would post some pics but my pictures seem to be to big for RcCanada

Pete,

Go grab "IRFanView" (http://www.irfanview.com/).

Use it to do two things: Resize the pic to 1024 pixels on the longest side (keep aspect ratio) and then save it as a JPG (with a different file name) that is less than 150,000 bytes. You should be able to upload the pic after doing that.
