Does anyone have experience with HamTV on rc airplanes?
I am wondering if any of you have experience running amateur television gear on an RC airplane. Specifically, what kind of camera, transmitter, antenna, and overlay board (if any). What is the resolution of the camera and is it color or b/w? Also, what kind of range did you get with it?
I am looking to run an amateur television setup on my giant scale plane that I am building right now. I want to have a video overlay board for GPS information (Intuitive Circuits makes a packaged version in a small box). Steve |

A small downlink and a tiny colour camera would work very well and weigh nothing. You may want to stick the whole camcorder in the plane. My 3CCD camera weighs in at just over a pound. Good luck. |
