This dealer in Denmark (Electric Flight Equipment) has 2100 mah loose LiPo cells rated at 20C thats over 40 amps folks so you can power your large projects with less weight, or go for rediculous duration with your smaller ones.

Some one on this side of the Atlantic needs to get us these baby's to cut down on our soldering time.

Thanks for pointing that one out.

All I can say is wow.

And also I'll say this is just what I need for my amp thirsty Typhoons 6's.

And I'll add, this would really bring the wing loading down on my La5. The 10 CP1300 NIcds I was trying to use are a tad heavy.

But one thing I wounder. Well two things.

How come I havn't noticed these elsewhere.

And The old saying " sounds to good to be true" I really hope this is not the case though.

Anyone else heard of these cells??

oily.

I do believe they weigh less than my 10x CP 1300 Nicds. Wich wiegh at least 370 grams. A single pack 3C1P 2000 are quoted to be 173 grams and 3C1P 2100 254 grams.

Not bad I'd say. Any time I can shave 200 grams off my model I'm happy.

10C 3S 2100 Thunder Power pack comes in at 130 Grams and Charlie tends to rate his cells on the low side. The 2100 3S 20C Kokam weights in at a hefty 254 Grams. Ill take the lighter battery rather than the 20C.

I have a set of 1900 3S 10C cells (120 grams) and cannot beleive the output on this pack. Since purchasing it, my Kokam 8C 1500 pack has only been used once to go for a Sunday morning flight

Indeed lighter is usualy better.

Unless you have to deal wit a lot of wind.

And althou you shouldn't really push things too far. Steves been getting (or asking for ) 20 amps from a 3c1p kokam 8C pack. We don't have a whatt meter yet. Just going by published numbers.

It ain't cuaght fire yet. But I've been suggesting Steve keep it in tin can outside rather than lying on his oily work bench.

10C cells are so last week.

Actually, I think it depends on the application. Sometimes you want high power and sometimes you want long duration. Sometimes you can carry more weight and sometimes you can't. With the weight penalty of the Kokams though, I wonder if you could achive nearly the same thing by using a couple of other cells in parallel. Perhaps the real benefit is the cost because you can use fewer cells.

Remember last year when LiPos were only 3C?

Ahh, the good old days...

Thats exactly what I am saying rscamp, two 10C TP packs in parralel come in at 6grams more than a Kokam pack and have the same amperage output, but twice the capacity.

The choice seems simple to me. Same weight, same power, twice the run time. (unfortunately, twice the price too hehe) isn't there always a downside.
