So who is going to Toledo?

OK who is going to Toledo and where do you stay?

Looking for inexpensive but clean hotel/motel not too far from the convention centre.

Holiday inn express

Hi Jim,

I just booked a room at the holiday inn express in Perrysburg. it's about 10 minutes south of Toledo. I've stayed there before, it's clean, breakfeast is decent cost is $94/ night CAA rate. Best thing is you have to drive right by a USA Tim hortons on your way to the show. it's the only place to get a decent coffee down there.

I've stayed at the Seagate before, it's nice because it's attached to the convention centre but, they only had smoking rooms left when i tried to book for this year

Hope to make it this year, for the first time. I've been wanting to go for years, but something has always come up to prevent it. However, this year I may be tangled up in moving out of town to the lake, so you never know....

Toledo

If all goes well,I'll be there with my Son. Last year was my first time there and only for the day (Sat.).
We went by bus from Kitchener.I believe it was organized by "FlightCraft".
This year I'd like to stay longer! Theres just too much to see and do in the actual 6 or 7 hours you're there.
Already preparing.
Just like Santa Clause: I'm making a list and checking it twice

Unless something of ELE perportions happens, I plan on being there again this year for the 16th year running.

We always take a room right at the convention centre. Its only a couple of dollars more per night but its so convienient to be able to walk out of the show and right up to the room.

It a great show and every year there are always new products to see and lots of old friends to meet. So.....hope to see you there!

Toledo and accomodation

I hope to get out of work and go. Last year I too stayed in Perrysburg, clean reasonable room, 10 minute drive away. Just your basic truck stop, had a decent pool.

Three years ago I stayed at the Days Inn at the south end of Toledo just off the interstate. It was a complete dump, not recommended unless you don't mind garbage bags piled in the halls, a wet dog smell in your room, and unmade unchanged beds all weekend.

Is there a swimming pool at the convention centre hotel?

If you take the kids, make sure to do the side trip to COSI (center of science and industry?), right across from the Seagate. It's like the science centre with tons of high quality hands-on stuff for the kiddies.

I'm there. Staying at the Raddison. Great show, gotta love it. But the breakfast is better at the other hotel beside it, forgot the name, restaurant is up 5 floors or so.

I'm planning on driving down again (day-trip).

If you're driving and looking for a good parking area, the streets to the north of the Mud-hens' home field are great. I found a spot in front of the fruit-and-vegetable wholesaler and parked all day without charge . BTW, the "green hornets" do not work Saturdays.

I'm going to have to see if my tax refund is big enough to allow a trip, and I'll be concentrating on battery packs and brushless motors on this trip.

Last time was a deal on the Lanier Explorer 40 coupled with the Shrike 10 for $100 US or so, plus a couple other kits.

Of course, I probably will have to spend some time working at the MAAC booth.

Planning on being there for Friday only, work schedule won't allow any more.

Hoping to do some "networking " for the distributorship (coming soon BTW) Going to look in to having my own booth next year.
