Rough 1/10 scale 4wd race setup advice

heya guys, so I recently picked up a Durango DEX410v3, and not having driven these cars for about 20 years now, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on initial setup as far as shocks and motors go for the track.

Right now I've got a 10.5T Novak brushless motor in the car, I'm guessing it might be a little slow for the long straight.

Also curious about who's running what and if anyone will be around Saturday August 26th.

Nice choice of cars... I just bought the same thing.... 10.5 will be ok to start as long as your running senssored and boosted.... There is no perfect Motor but I would say pick up a 8.5 to a 6.5 turn and that would be great for sids. In terms of shocks... just start with the standard shock oil that came with the car and try for 50% rebound.
I would also invest in the optional sway bar for that car...

Re: Rough 1/10 scale 4wd race setup advice

Great, thanks for the tip! Mine came with the anti-roll bars so I'm set there. Looking forward to getting it out and doing some racing.

How's the 4wd class at sid's? Lots of cars or is the class pretty scarce?

4WD Buggy has not brought the biggest numbers, however every week I talk to someone who has just picked one up. 4WD buggy is growing again.

Bring her out, they get around the track like they are a slot car. Lots of fun to watch!

IMO.... 4wd looks like so much fun at SID's. If people had the choice and if the classes were about even numbers I'm sure you would see more 4wd.... It's gotta start somewhere....

Re: Rough 1/10 scale 4wd race setup advice

Sounds like there's at least more than a couple 4wd's that come out. There's 2 more of us coming out this Saturday to see how much damage we can do to our cars
