RCcanuck

Looks good.

From the fluctuation in head speeds, you may want to tweak your throttle and pitch curves a bit more, in order to try and maintain the same head speed as much as possible.

As you seem to like 30 sized nitros, here are two videos of two other 30 size helis (Hawk Pros) in Canada. I noted you had an older Hawk Sport in an earlier video. You would find a big difference between it and this current Hawk Pro:

and:

Contrary to popular belief, this size of nitro heli can do a lot more then just hover and do sport aerobatics.

Re: Maiden of the Kyosho Caliber 30

Over the years, I have also installed 30 size Hawk mechanics into a number of scale fuselages (H500, Airwolf, Bell222, A350A, S-300) and they were all powered with the less powerful OS32SX rather then an OS37 or larger engines. The S-300 is powered with an even less powerful engine - the OS52 FS four stroke!

Here is my Bell Long Ranger:

It even autos well using the relatively low cost FunKey 550 composite blades.

Well then here is another for you, glad you enjoyed it:

http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=.../4/7KShUzhag_0

One of the things I do not like about nitro powered scale helis is the smoke trail, specially when using 30% heli fuel. I used to also carry 15% for my scale helis with me to the field, as it smoked a lot less, but that became a bit to combersome (having to take two fuels with me when I also brought a scale ship).

So shortly after those videos where taken, I sold the Long Ranger to a worthy fellow from Alberta, so that I had the funds for this one, which is about the same size, has retracts, sounds more like a turbine and does not leave a smoke trail . Seeing a fellow at the ERCHA heli event fly one, I had to have one like it:

Here is his:

and here is mine:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHYKR-V0MgM

I had a lot of fun with it last summer and am really looking forward to more flights with it in 2010.

Yes...like that heli alot. Very nice with the retracts.
pilotdog007: Good luck with the Align 600N. That will be a very fun heli to fly this summer. Hope to see some vid of it.
