Northwest Regional championships

Just finished flying at the NW regional championships in Richland, Washington. The contest and the location were great as usual. Canada was well represented in this contest and we took home first in Basic, Sportsman and Intermediate. In the regional points championship we took home first in Sportsman and Intermediate as well. There was a spread of only 24 points between first and fifth in Intermediate. I ended up 3rd in the contest and second in the region. Canadian pilots (not at this contest) also finished third in Basic and Sportsman for the Regional finals. Check out team Canada's haul!

Was such a fun weekend! Just thought i'd toss up a few more pics that I snapped this weekend. I appologize as I'm a bit excited right now to have won 1st in Sportsman for both the contest itself, as well as 1st in the NW Division Regional Finals points standing for the year. It was a great weekend, with lots of great competition, laughs and fun.

Wishing everyone an awesome 2017 IMAC year!

Re: Northwest Regional championships

Congratulations for sure Travis. As Frank said we know Brent and Gordon from the World's in 2014, but we are less familiar with the rest of the gang. Perhaps you will be part of the Team for World's 2018 !!

from left to right: Brent Bullen, Travis Fletcher, Scott Harley, John Wennerstrom and Gordon Wilhelm. In case you are keeping score Brent won the contest in Intermediate, he also took first in the NW region; Travis won Sportsman as well as taking first in the NW region and John won Basic. I finished third in the contest and second in the region. In only his first year in Intermediate, Scott Harley was a very strong competitor winning one of the sequences and taking a close second in another sequence.
