Why Will??? Why did it have to go that way?? If I lawn dart this one I'll cry Lol!! I'm still fairly new to the new technology of these TX's but I will try to start putting a little mix in. Do you run yours on a switch or all the time? I think I'm way light because my 2650 packs are 2 1/4" from the wing tube and the 3000 are 1 3/4" of course I'm still a bit nose heavy (just a bit) cause I'm still learning the plane. I will slowly start to adjust. The fun of a new build!! As for the next fun fly I'm there!!

Yeah, don't lawn dart this one lol, that was funny.
When I first tried the plane was on a 5S setup and I had the battery pretty forward to get the CG where I wanted but I found the plane to be a bit too light for me, it just didn't locked in, then when I switched to the 6S setup it was way better, the extra little bit of weight was great.

I don't run my mixes on a switch, I have them permanently on, so all you have to do is roll, hold rudder and power and ta-da! lol

Cheers,

Will

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

Will your settings sound about what I need to mix on my sons plane. I shall jot them down and work at inputting them shortly. I kept meaning to spend time making the small mixes but its just too darned fun to stop flying long enough to finish the job.

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

Thanks again again again Will, I'll dial it in slowly. Then the pilot just needs to keep up with the plane. I too will start to add some mixes to make it rock solid.

Hi Daryll, once you put them in, let me know how it works for you. I know it is time consuming but is worth it at the end

Sure thing Ryan! I will look forward to hear how it feels once you put them in. I was hoping to be able to do some flying this weekend but the weather just went south here..yikes!

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

Wonder what light weight skis to put on these 60" birds for winter? They have so much power the ground run would be crazy short!

I use these:
https://www.greathobbies.com/product...prod_id=DUB830

The only mod I do is to insert a collar (for the axle)with a 3/4" long Allen bolt inside the triangular mount and put another one like that on the farther end of the axle so the ski doesn't flex or move. Other wise on first knife spin, the skies would be upside down.

I use these same idea but the spring keeps them level. They have worked well for me. Yes Will weathers gone to heck up here too. Plus side get to leave early and get some ski flying in on my twist 40.

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

I should add I don't do half the stuff Will can and not at that speed so that's probably why mine work ok with no mod. Lol!!
