I just got a reply from my china contact.
$28 US each unless you order 30, then it's $27 each LOL!
wow, by 29 get one free!

And on top of that there's shipping that would probably be over $100US.

Too rich for my blood. I'll wait till after xmas and get one from walmart for $29.99 C!!!

What's the deal on these helis? Are they actually fun to buzz around the kitchen? Or is it just that they are so cheap its just cheap amusement?

I'm going to check my local wal mart on the way home from work... Why are they all broken? Are people returning these things after they run them into the fridge, or the dog eats them?

Too many questions,

Ben

They're really just toys for fun. That said, they're $30 and are cheap for some indoor fun. There aren't really helis even close to this price range that'll actually fly in the house.

Broken? Probably tail rotors - I've broken one. It's likely people not being able to trin them out or being able to fly them. I'm a capable pilot, but it's not particularly precise. Don't expect to be able to land where you want it (on a table, etc.).

It would be much cooler with elevator control and a proportional throttle.

What the heck - they're only $30. What are you waiting for?

My girlfriend to quit complaining about the $15 I spent on a servo last week.....

edit: I just looked up the piccoZ mod thread, I had just glanced over it before, as I dont know much about helis, and didn't realize it was on a $30 mini-heli...

Girlfriend or not, I'm picking one of these up if Goderich Wal-Mart has them tonight.

Speaking of the Girlfriend, was anyone in Stratford this morning, and see an accident? I'm going to make a thread in the off-topic forum about this.

If you can't find one and you "really" want one, you could always buy one off Ebay.ca. I see seven on there right now, but they all want "WAYYYYYY" to much money for them.

I picked up two more yesterday as I headed for the airport. A "red - channel A" and a "blue - channel C".

Had no problem bringing them on the plane as carry-on luggage.
