Hi Folks,

My tires on my RC18T are about done, I need new tires, and wonder what the best choice for Sid's would be ?

I've heard the Anderson's Square tires might be better suited to the track than AE's , is this true, and are they compatible, and does anyone LOCALLY stock them ?

The AE tires are too hard for the rough surface, they dance around alot.
The Losi's kevin mentioned work well, also my son runs Losi Smashers on his 18T. They work very well. On my 18T Last week, I put on a pair of Proline Bowties for the second qualifier. They hooked up really good compared to the stock AE tires.

The one thing all the above tires have in common is, they are all a really soft compound. The vehicles are light and need all the help they can get.
At Zee's the stock AE's worked well, the track was indoors and was able to stay relatively moist.
At SID's being outdoors in the sun. The surface is becoming nice and hard packed, but it is usually quite dry.
So keep to a soft compund tire and you should be good.

I feel that the best tires are the proline dirthawgs . the lightning bolt pattern.

I got them from ebay for cheap./ the nice part is that they wear very slowly.

the anderson tires wear in under 2 hours on Sid's track. for the anderson the conversion to the 1/16th tires works great however that puts alot of stress on other parts in the car. cvds u joints to the diffs especially
