Since RC weather is still a few months away and everyone is itching to play. Is there any genuine interest in having some onroad car meets?

I know distance, time and turnout is always an issue but if its possible to have a weekly or bi-weekly meet somewhere in the GTA. Please feel free to post your ideas on locations and date/time.

Re: 1/8 on road in ontario?

I only know a few places in the west:

1, Dixie go station Dixie rd and Dundas mississauga = smooth large parking lot.
Same as cooksville station, lisgar station is huge too, or others, milton line no Saturday service.

2, Hershey center, close to Matheson and 403, no public transit though. largest empty parking lot, absolutely free of traffic, I could fly umx plane there too.
Most Recommended => huge, safe, no one else there. google 43.633792,-79.65517

3, centennial park, close to skiing field, to the back of the field there is a large pking lot, typically no traffic, all parked the other side which close to the gym.

4, inside the park where MMFC model club sits, there is a offroad track, which is for members only, and there is roundabout, can do some tight track onroad, good thing is it is a sort of in-club road, nobody bother you for running rc. - and I can fly in btw for a break.

Canada has abundance of empty parking lot, as long as neighborhood is reasonable, we shouldn't have prom just run a few e-cars. it is easy to find a spot, but may be hard to keep running.

=========
At my skill level parking lot race is best choice, certainly spend 20 buck in a track whole day is not a choice for me. And to a large extent, in my opinion, touring car can thrive more than pan cars because of the tolerance of road condition.

I am still waiting for my car to arrive but I ordered a couple of road disk, so as to practice corners. I used to do street race using the road disks, they are good, around 40 of them should be able to mark a decent track, and the track can be changed from time to time. Are you all using similar things? there need to be a organization or some sort of, we may bring a small party table at shared cost, only because sometime we need a flat desk to set up cars.

I think the best part of on road racing is to race with skills and get fun, but not spend money for tracks or top-end cars. Also not spend time just bashing, offroad may be ok for bashing, onroad is more skill concerned. Spent a few hours weekend, put up a track, set it up and race together; that's seems the only possible strategic plan for now.
