Canada Post - Drop Kick my kit to my Door!

I ordered a Majic Fun/Fly kit from HobbyWholesale in Edmonton. The kit arrived today with a hole in it about the size of the toe from a Cowboy boot. The hole went through the outside box and through the kit box also. Sent photo to HobbyWholesale as proof of delivery.

PS: the model is fine

I have had many parcels from Canada Post come with holes and rips in the packaging. I even had one come soaking wet and inside a plastic bag with a note saying sorry. I don't know where the packages are getting abused since I get most everything from the US. Its very frustrating. Luckily non of the contents have been damaged yet.

How about a mail person thinking they are saving you a trip to the post office leaving a $700 item wedged in the bushes instead of having you go down to the post and sign for it. It spent a few days outside before someone noticed it the box was soaked through. By the way when I contacted Hobby Wholesale they confirmed it had to be signed for when delivered. Reported it to the local postal service and never even received a follow up call or anything.

The latest package I received also had a hole in it, and it was sent xpresspost. I didnt do anything about it because the contents was undamaged.

If they work like UPS and FedEx, just picture the truck literally dumping the parcels down a conveyor. If the next box to come down is heavier, then look out. We ship acrylic displays and have virtually no damaged product because it is packed well. FedEx told us to have a minimum of 2" of packing all the way around the any product. We stopped using Canpar, because after years of damage free deliveries, it turned out to be constant damage for about a 6 month period. Then they started accusing us of changing the packaging.

Anyhow, exterior damage although not pretty is acceptable as long as the goods are protected.

Your hobby wholesale box looks exactly like mine when I got it in February. A large hole punched in the side, but it never got through to the kit box!

I have to say that Hobbywholesale does pack their stuff well.
