... sorta. I ran across some old photos ca. 1932, and I have a question:

Anyone in the St. Catherines area know if the St. Catherines Flying Club is still in existence? If so, how do I contact them? Gypsy Moth photos are kinda neat...

St. Catherines

Thanks for the site, Dennis, will e-mail them.

I will have to get the photos scanned to disc so that I can send them to the club, will also post them here.

I am always amazed at how stuff remains hidden for so many years, and how many people just chuck photos and books because THEY aren't interested. These photos almost went to the landfill until I checked some old albums. On one occasion I intercepted a load of books destined to such a fate, and found incredible stuff: Morocco-bound volumes, book prizes from the turn of the 20th century, limited editions. I don't know if they are valuable or not; I only know that they were important to the previous owner, and may be important to someoe else. How can you tell that I once worked in a museum???

Here's some of them

SCFC web is under construction (?), and there seems to be no e-mail address for them; anyone in the area know what's going on?

MAN! WOWWWW!!! Look at the size of the gun on the nose of that plane.

Maybe that's a turbine intake?

You could try: scfc@on.aibn.com - I believe this may be current.

Neither gun nor turbine, that is the rare model of the DH60 with a Farfanola Augmentor...
