Tight radius panel lines?

I am adding panel lines to a wing that I have glassed, primed and sanded. The problem is not the panels lines per say. I know to use 1/64th chart tape and have used it many times before with great success. The one area Im having trouble with is the Round Corners and round hatches of different dia.etc. The corners that are very tight in radius are almost impossible to achieve and if I do manage to get the tape down, it usually lifts and crinkles as Im painting it.

How do you guys get nice small radius for panel lines.

Thanks

Trevor

Re: Tight radius panel lines?

Try this--- Get some Label stock with removable adhesive from Staples or a print shop- cut out and stick on the hatches, airbrush around the edges and then carefully remove the label stock after drying, that will leave a ridge (panel line)
Good luck

Re: Tight radius panel lines?

For hatches and access covers I use foil tape , cut out the shape and burnish on. Then paint over.
