The quote above sez it all as far as support goes....
The people who will come will pay whatever it costs!!! 90% of the people will say geez i can go outside and bash for free except for freezing my fingers
The key is to hold regular races even if there are no prizes.
the track time is the prize in this case.
We have our own track with 4 regular users and indoor carpet for the winter and we all contribute to the expenses but we are not open to the public..

I'd rather spend 1 1/2 driving to barrie for an indoor track then 3 plus hours down to Michigan for a few hours of play to only have to drive the same amount back. As long as you can do 1/8 scale I could honestly see a lot of guys converting to electric for winter running.

Track size will be fairly important for people to make the drive up from TO. I would much rather drive 1.5 hours to race than 3 hours to Michigan...BUT...if the track isn't that good, I will drive the extra 1.5 hours to Michigan because the track and racing are excellent. Sounds like you have access to a facility which is good. Rent in most of Ontario has been the killer to any indoor ventures so far. Any insight to the size of the building?

thanks for all the replys, as for the track i would like to make it 1/8th scale friendly.

the size would be in the 20sec time wise for an 1/8th scale truggy or buggy.

the building is owned by a buddy of mine and is sitting vacent right now it is devided into 4 areas the smallest area is about 70x30 and they go up from there but the bigger i get the more it will cost me.
