Mod worked

Hi Planeswithwings,

Hope it was the posting here at RCC that helped, if so, I'm glad I could help - I'm getting a lot of good reports about the modification!

Mine is working well, and for the price of the engine, I'm really pleased.

Fly4Fun,

GMS Mods

Hi,

The engine was a GMS .47 and fuel I used was Omega 15%, but I'm going to be trying Cool Power Heli 15% this week. The plug I used is a Fox R/C Long - but any equivalent plug seems to work OK. I'll see if I can find the Glow Plug cross reference site and post the link in this thread.

The modifications are posted here at RCC:
https://www.rccanada.ca/bb/viewtopic.php?t=14591

I'll get the original site where I first identified the problems and post the link here as well, but I should warn you it is a long thread with many things being tried, and many people being involved before narrowed down the problem.

Please keep us up to date on how the mod worked for you, thanks!

I'm off to get the other links.

Hope the above helps.

Fly4Fun,

Wayne Miller

Hi Voyager_663rd,

I took a look at the web site and it looks good. No problem using the information and I hope it will help others.

Hope to see you at the K/W Scale Rally the 2nd weekend in Sept.
