Re: redwing rc

redwings planes are nice. Don't have one personally but when I was looking I was looking seriously at ther panes. I have a peak models plane.
www.peakmodel.com

Only thing to consider when looking at the redwing ones is shipping to Canada

www.cbiusa.com is a great shipping receiving company in Niagara Falls New York that has served me well and has saved me a fair amount of money in shipping by acting as a US shipping address to taske advantage to free or low cost shipping within the US.

Re: redwing rc

I had a SBACh 342. It was a good plane but the landing gear was a little weak. With some reinforceing it was a great plane. I had a small misfortune at Hanovers funfly this year with it. The wing came off in flight. The bolt holding the wing in vibrated out.

Re: redwing rc

I have a 30cc mxsr. With se32cc. Flying weight with 2 Nimh batteries is 10.5lbs!!! Super light. Lots of fun. Yes the gear area can be a little weak. Haven't had to upgrade this one yet but a bad landing or gopher hole will take it out. Not a huge deal.

Happy flying

Re: redwing rc

Reviving an old thread...

Been looking at a 30cc sized Edge from Redwing. After tons of research I've concluded that you get a lot of bang for your buck with their planes.

They just quoted me $90 shipping, direct from Asia as it is cheaper than shipping from their US warehouse.

Question is, has anyone shipped one of these into Canada? And if so, did you get stuck with any fees upon delivery?

Thanks!

Re: redwing rc

I ordered my stuff from flyguyrc.com and picked it up in Buffalo Greyhound station.

Take a look at his prices, and they are genuine Goldwing RC airplanes, I have the 107" Sukhoi the quality is amazing.

Take a look: http://flyguyrc.com/t/categories/30cc

Thanks...wattaplane sells Goldwing in Canada with similar pricing.

Now the Peak Models planes really have my attention. Construction looks very similar to Redwing but less $$ and cheaper shipping. Sounds like no fees at the door as well.

Re: redwing rc

I have the 30CC MSXR... and it's sweet...very light so it flies great, but as a result it wont like being dorked! all the hardware was good carbon parts were very well made, and over all I would give them a 8.9 outa 10...(did have the opto kill switch I bought from them puke, so that's why it's not a 9/10) but the airframe is top shelf stuff!
