Which is best????

I am just gettin into RC cars and I have decided to get a 1/8 scale buggy. I am looking to get an RTR car which is solid and fast without breaking the bank. I have narrowed it down to a few choices and I would appreciate your opinions or new suggestions. I am looking for the best overall RTR car and am not interested in modifying anything just yet.

My choices are:
1.) 2006 Ofna Ultra Lx Comp with the .26 engine
2.) OFNA 1/8 Ravager .28
3.) Nitro Bazooka with .21 engine (this is an asian car i've been coming across on ebay and it claims to be like the hyper inferno)
4.) Himoto Torpeda with .21 Japan infinity engine (another asian car which is like Kyosho MP7.5)
5.) XTM X-Terminator 24.7 engine

At this point in time I am leaning towards the Ravager with the big block but like I said I am new and my knowledge on cars is limited.
Thanks for the input!!

Just stay away from # 3 and 4. The other 3 are all pretty much on par with one another IMHO.

I agree, 3 and 4 are probibly crap... those e-bay things are usually like that...

The X-Terminator is a very durable buggy I heard and the engine is awesome (ask Viper he knows everything about them) and also you can race them too if you ever want to.

The OFNA's are raceable, but the Ravager wouldn't do well I don't think, maybe if you only want to bash it. The LX comp is okay too. But given the choices I'd go with the X-Terminator

You may want to think or the Sportwerks Mayhem RTR too, Its a solid buggy for a good price, and I'm sure there are others too I can't think of

Talking lx comp

i was new to the hobbie and thats what i got...now i got a few of them ...and my 2 speed for the lx with a orion.28 turbo is on the way...if you do get the lx...upgrade the steering servo forsure and buy a hump pack for it...if you want a little better braking i would suggest a hi-tec hi-torque throttle/brake servo 645 i do believe if not guy's will correct me

whenever your thinking of buying a kit its also wise to check and see what your local hobby shop carries parts for... i don't know any of the hobby shops in guelph but i'd check with them to see what parts they cary and make my decision based on that... nothing sucks more than not being able to run your new toy because you broke a $3 part that you can't get for 2 weeks because its being shipped from china or some place else...

my pick for an rtr, depending or what your hobby shop carries is the ofna hyper 7 pcr rtr... it comes with everything your need (buggy, radio, engine, starter box, glow ignitor) the only thing you need to ad are battereins (12 AA for the radio, 1 D for the ignitor, and 2 7.4 volt stick packs for the starter box) here's a link
