Another easy bungee launcher to build. Foot pedal done same as any others you see, and frame is just metal work horse. This is the work horse that Canadian Tire puts on sale for $10 every couple of months. Just removed legs at one end, cut them short at the other and screwed two lengths of pvc to the edges. I use the bungee cord that Canadian Tire sells by the foot off a big spool. The odd metal things sticking out the side is just two telescopic fm antennae. They go any direction and telescope out. I use them to touch just under the wing tips so cross winds don't affect the model prior to launch. Whole contraption folds flat and takes next to no room in my little hatchback so I can still fit some planes in the car.

I tried a couple test launches using 30ft of surgical tubing stretched to about 25lbs. My only problem that i can see so far was my hooks on my plane we're very weak in my installation so they flew off at each attempt. going to have to secure them better before my next test.

Goose, chase down some threads on the SAPAC Gripen bungee launching. Since it's all foam, you have to build a plate system into the model to take the stresses.

Alternate idea just occurred to me: what is the "pull" that you're using? I understand that you should be aiming for about a 5 times the weight of the model. Of course, I could be wrong. Anyone care to correct me since I'm currently having morning tea with my wife while she watches "Cityline".
