I see videos posted of meets, flying, engines etc that have been edited. Good music added, overlays of text with intros etc. It is something I would like to learn to do.

I have Adobe Professional installed on my computer. That is about the only software that I have that may be relative.

For those of you that have done it and are doing it, is there any inexpensive software, public domain software that will do the trick?? I don't need stuff to make a movie and compete with hollywood.

Are there any websites that you would recommend that I visit?

Thanks for the help.
If I'm in WinXP I use Arcsoft Showbiz 2...if I'm in Win 7, I use Corel Video Pro X3 they are both about $50. Corel Video Pro 4 is on sale for $49.99 and includes 3D glasses for making your final product 3D capable...and shipping is free for a while.

Adobe Professional.....???? Premiere is Adobe's video editing line, there's the every day home user version and the "Pro" version. I've used the pro version it's kind of like attacking a fly with a bazooka but I sure like it over Movie Maker. Just wish I could afford it (Premiere Pro) for my own use.

I've been using Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate for awhile and am quite happy with it. They have recently released version 15. If you watch the sales, you can pick it up for about $69.00. I bought mine at Future Shop. If you check out my videos, you'll get an idea of what it can do and I am by no means a power user! I am probably using 10% of the program's capabilities.

Here's my newish YouTube Channel where you can check out the videos:

Re: Video Editing Software Help

Thanks Bob;

It looks good. I subscribed!

I just got my Flip camcorder (cisco) today and I have taken some shorts and imported them into Windows Movie Maker. I have Movie Maker and am going to give it a shot first. Had a few problems so I found a Movie Maker forum and sent in my challenges. We'll see.

I have Adobe "professional" loaded as well. My son is a bit of a software junkie. If I can't get Movie Maker working for me in the next couple weeks I am going to give my Adobe a shot because I already have it.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Hey Johnny!,

Thanks for subscribing and good luck with the video stuff. I quite enjoy it and am learning something new every day. Kind of like a hobby within the hobby. From what I understand, Adobe rocks but I'm not sure I'm up to the learning curve. I found Studio 14 to be very intuitive so that even a meathead like me can get it to work.

Have fun!

Bob
