Next Race, Saturday February 19th
Hello everyone!
We've had amazing turn outs of drivers over the past few race days - we really appreciate you all coming out to Motor City Raceway and supporting our club! Here is the link to register for the next race on Saturday February 19th: http://www.rcsignup.com/events/displayEvent.cfm?ID=1851 Hopefully you've noticed, every week we add something to make the racing a little different and offer a new challenge and the feedback you guys have been giving us has been great so far. We think the last changes have made for the best track yet... however, staying with tradition, we're going to be adding some more "new" features to the track for our next race day again making the track a little different from the last one that we all raced on. Just a reminder that our next race date will be Saturday February 19th - make sure you get your off-road buggy's ready! We look forward to some more of the best racing in the GTA... See you all at the track! |

What are you guys running for motors ( number of turns ) in 2wd and 4wd at this track?
How does it compare to what you would run at Sids? |

Most of the guys that are quick in 2WD are running 10.5 - or no faster then a 9.5. If you have a boosted speed control, a 10.5 is going to be more then enough. I ran a 10.5 in my Tamiya 201 2WD with a non-boosted speed control and on its first night out the lap times in the main were right up with the fastest guys.
In 4WD, again, its all dependent on your speed control, however, a lot of the guys are running 7.5 with a non boosted speed controller and 9.5 with a boosted speed control like the the Tekin RS or the Hobby Wing system. How it compares to Sids? - The track size is large enough that you can get away with a fast motor in both classes however you might have to drop a tooth or two in your pinion since we have a little more of a technical layout then Sids did last year. Come out on the 19th - you'll love the quality of drivers that we are getting out at the track. |

Great time
Had a great time today, we ran only one quallifier but tripples mains(less qualifying and more racing.
Len cleaned up in 2wd and 4wd winning the first to races. Ron won the first to races in 1/8. And i not sure wo won in sc but omg the short corse guys are by far the most fun to watch it seams like they crash alot but never break lol. Cant wait til next time in two weeks . |
