Re: T6EXHP problem....
Battery would probalby benefit from a few cycles to get it back to full function. I presume it a nicad.

Re: T6EXHP problem....
Here's how to read the battery code on Futaba batteries.
The Nicad batteries that we use in our Transmitters and Aircraft wear out with time. If you have a battery pack that is more than 3 years old you should be keeping a close check on it by cycling every month. If it is 5 years old or older you should replace it and be sure to properly dispose of the old cells. So - how do we tell the age of our batteries? Most Futaba battery packs and individual Sanyo battery cells (which most OEM radio manufactures use) have a 2 letter date code stamped somewhere on the pack or cell. The first letter of the code is the year of manufacture and the second letter is the month of manufacture. 1996 = "A", 1997 = "B", 1998 = "C", 1999 = "D", 2000 = "E", etc….. January = "A", February = "B", March = "C", etc…… So - if you have a battery or pack with a date code of "CB" it was manufactured in February of 1998 - probably still OK but keep a close check on it. The pack in my 8UAF transmitter was "ZF" or June of 1995 so I replaced it. I found one pack with a date code of "WC" which translates to 1992 - replace that one without question. Re: T6EXHP problem....
I found most Futabas come stock with only a 600MAh NiCad pack. For some reason when in PCM mode it eats that quickly, frequently in less than 30 minutes.
I replaced mine with 2500MAh packs, (less than $25 each) and can fly full sessions without worry. Good insurance against the loss of the plane.

Re: T6EXHP problem....
hey guys. i tried cycling the batteries twice and the most i could into them was about 350mah. after turning on the TX the voltage would drop while i watched the meter. i took the pack back to the store and they gave me a new 700 mah TX pack so that should cure the problem. cheers, john
