I'll second the hobby partz product and service. Ordered 3 5S batts from HK and 2 of the 3 have a bad cell out of the box. Ordered 4 from HP and 1) got them in a week 2) they all work 3) got higher capacity packs that were significantly lighter than those from HK. HK will never get another penny from me.

Re: Hobby King shipping

Yeah.... i know aboot that dude... curious as you and keep expecting an email from HP regarding.

But i just received the third confirmation email from them.... one more to go.

If they send by UPS i'm screwed... we'll see and i'll post the info.

Btw... twas two Gen Ace 4000 3s lipos and a T610 Charger and some V200d01 parts.

$10 shipping.... too good to be true that's a lot of weight.

That said... i've had plenty of orders from Wowhobbies ( Cali ) and Helidirect ( Boston )... both are fairly quick shippers usually a week to Toronto. I thought Helidirect would be quicker but the Cali-Toronto trade corridor is a quick one.

Both have slightly cheaper shipping than Hobbypartz... but slightly higher prices for V200d01 partz anyhoo.

I hate ordering from China... it takes way too long and if it's doa bend over rover... only do that if i can't buy it in NA.

Bought my first chopper from Dinodirect... as Brando said..."the horror".....

I just got 4 batteries from HK. yes they shipped them ems, and shipping was a little pricey, at 40 bucks, but I had them in 10 days.

Re: Hobby King shipping

Would it be cheaper to have the batteries shipped from the USA warehouse?

Re: Hobby King shipping

You'd think it would be cheaper ordering from the US warehouse but it is a flat shipping rate of $30... and since USPS is supposedly not going to ship lipos it will come either by Fedex or UPS which you will pay all taxes and if it's UPS standard a brokerage fee as well.

I've ordered from HK ems to Toronto was under a week... i was blown away actually.... mind you it was just pinions and motors.

Nitroplanes/Hobbypartz/Xheli they are the same store just different front-ends. they have a 12% sale on.

Buy a $100 worth of batts shipping will be free since they only charge $10 shipping to Canada.... makes you feel somewhat america don't it....

That said HP doesn't have the vast selection of items as HK.

You'll get them in aboot a weeks time.... if you use paypal they tend to ship it quicker then a CC invoice.... as they'll wait a couple of days to clear CC payment.

The thing that cracks me up is all the free shipping they get down south.... now add up all your shipping charges to date... that's a fair chunk of change.

Re: Hobby King shipping

Hobbypartz may now have to ship by courrier due to LIPO shipping restrictions with USPS. Anyone order any since may 16?
