Hope you don't mind me posting this in this topic, but I'm ecstatic after running it for the first time today.

I have more details to add to it, but the motor, radio and cooling system worked flawlessly . I have about 150 hours in it so far and it's been fun to build.(from scratch) Now all I need is a calm day for "Sea trials"

Specs:
56" long X 18" wide "(double planked Mahogany, fibreglassed below water line, 10 coats of Minwax Spar Urethane)
22 lbs.
Mitsubishi 18cc motor/clutch
Water cooled with pump
Hitec radio
All running hardware "home-made"

Well, that certainly is a fine piece of woodwork. And it is "general RC.."

Those older style runabouts allways turned me on. Very VERY nice!

Very nice! All you need is a little driver in it and some action pics.....I bet you could pass it off as the real thing if you had good enough pictures

Thank's to all of you for the praise. Now I can concentrate on finishing a couple of planes . (a DF F-16 comes to mind for starters

)

What a finish! If I tried that, I'd end up collecting every dust mote, mosquito, gnat and cat hair from here to the Muskokas ... and that's a fair piece from here.

Perhaps you could post a tutorial on how to get results like that ....
