I finally got a reply from Aloft, (FRSKY) stating they will not be there this year. Hope someone else will have their stuff available.

It may be a good idea to bring a copy of that specific FAA document if intending to fly, as well. Just ask Bob Hoover...........

Direct from the Weak Signals show website, here's a list of exhibitors. There are some notable names missing from previous years.

Interesting how it gets smaller every year. Maybe it's time for a change to something like RCX?

Re: Toledo Weak Signals Show 2016 - Are You Going?

My son and I returned from the Weak Signals Show on Saturday. We had planned to go to the show on both Friday and Saturday and return home on Sunday, but we saw and did everything on Friday. In the past ten years that I've attended, I have seen a gradual decrease in the number of vendors and the quality of the show. This year was by far the most meager. Many of the cornerstone vendors were absent and there was really nothing new or innovative; I fear that this event may have run its course. I miss the ETOC and the new and novel products from previous years. I will probably not attend next year.

So sad to hear. I missed the last 2 years and the consensus from others is the same as your observation. I'm wondering if I should bother to make an effort next year??

Re: Toledo Weak Signals Show 2016 - Are You Going?

I was there Fri and Sat, enjoyed the show but, I agree, the number of vendors was down, many downsized their booths from previous years and the number of attendee's sure appeared to be down as well. Even the Icecream bar guy didn't show and he's been a stalwart for 20+ years!

Friday seem almost dead, Sat. had more people but, certainly wasn't what I would call "busy"

Unfortunately, this is the nature of trade shows in general, they are all in decline. Modern communication has turned them into dinosaurs.

People now get on the web to see the newest, greatest products.... no need to go to a trade show to see what's happening. All the deals or better can be had online with free shipping to Americans.

The cost of 3 days of exposure to the vendors who travel some distance can easily run $10k plus. Do you think some of those vendors selling extentions do $20K in business over the weekend? Not likely so, they go home losing money. You can't sustain that.

Far more effective ways these days to spend your marketing $'s.

Parking in Toledo was hilarious, $5bucks event parking for the day lol. I parked in Toronto on Wed for just over an hour, was $9 bucks! Event parking in TO is usually $40-$45 plus whatever else they can jam you for.
