where are the best-"Shipped" lipo deals now???

So HobbyKing used to be the most affordable place for lipos, but now with new shipping regulations this is no longer true. Cost to ship 4-1s 600 mah batteries now is $31- cost of the batteries under $12. So has anyone found some alternative sources for reasonably priced lipos with shipping???

Re: where are the best-"Shipped" lipo deals now???

well you use the worst possible battery:shippinbg cost ratio there - ha! HK still a great deal, but perhaps not the best deal on accounting for quality, pirice shipping, and speed of shipping depending on your needs.

Can get Gens Ace from Helipal for a decent deal - though you still pay Gens Ace prices.

I am going to switch to SNHobbies in Vancouver for the Gravity brand. Fast shipping from local seller (or I can drop in and buy in person). Supposedly Gens Ace performance for much lower price. But I won't know for a sure for a while because I have a good 30 lbs of Hobbyking Batteries still working great.

I've got a couple of those gravity packs from SN and other than the wrapper they look identical to the Gens Ace to me. My suspicion is that they are from the same factory, just relabelled/branded. Just my oberservation. YRMV.

Another source for lipos that I've used is:

http://www.chinahobbyline.com/

They have a US warehouse and I've had no issues getting them in. They are a little weaker than Gens Ace, but are pretty decent. And my experience with the customer service is very good.

Just adding to the list.

Cheers,
J

I recently purchased three Gens Ace Lipos from Hobby Partz in California. . . at the time of purchase they were advertising free shipping within the continental U.S. Mine were shipped to me in Ontario. . . shipping cost $58 U.S. - Shocking - but they did arrive safe and sound. Shipping to Canada is expensive. . . it would be nice is someone would start manufacturing here but that is probably a pipe dream. . . . Cheers

never happen John. Most batteries are manufactured where environmental laws are lax or non-existent. Remember Union Carbide in Bhopal, India? When buying from Hobby Partz, your shipping costs from the Philippines are already built in. Then you pay again. The best deal would to be able to buy from a reputable company in Indonesia and ship directly - someday, hopefully. Have you tried Revolectrix? shipped direct - fast and reasonably priced - good quality.

I got my last ones from Revolectrix. Battery price was good, quality seems pretty good to me, and shipped for $27 for four 6S 3300s. They arrived in three days.

I was just gawking around their site. Prices look pretty good really.

Re: where are the best-"Shipped" lipo deals now???

Thanks for all your replies guys! Had a chance to checkout all the sites and although some of the prices seem pretty good, no one seems to have any 1s 500-600 mah batteries. I was thinking about buying the blade 180 QX HD , but of course it needs batteries I don't have. I have soooo many batteries its starting to get out of hand. I just hope we can find some good suppliers with reasonable shipping! Keep adding to the list if you know of any more companies that will ship reasonably to/in Canada!

if you happen to have some 2S or 3S 500 mah lipos sitting around you could pull them open and make your own - IF the dimensions are similar to the QX.

Just a thought.
