I just wanted to switch from 2.75 to 3.75 wheels but there isn't much room left to attach the axle collar on the nose gear, what else can I do to make this work ? I'm leaving town tomorrow and want all this for when I get back, thanks

Why are changing the size of your wheels. There isn't that many mole holes in the runway

hi R, just think the bigger wheels would work better, I was at the park this morning taxing around, well trying to anyway, grass was abit too long, even at vernon it was abit tough for steering so I bought some 3 1/4 inchers

One way is to sweat solder a piece of brass tubing onto the existing axle, extending it as needed. Then use the next size of tubing to bush the wheel. I usually use a washer to restrain the wheel and a safety wire through a hole drilled thru the end of the axle tubing for retention. Filling the hollow end of the tube with solder while installing it helps in this. It's not a bad "old tyme" look, either! Good luck, Dzl

I do it the same way as DZL to avoid using wheel collars in the first place.
If you want to stay with the collars and just need a little more axle to get a grip try grinding both flat sides of the collar until its about half its original thickness.
